The Return of Cupid and Magician
- Cupid has returned, but with a twist!
- When you receive your role, you are given two players that are in love.
- These two players will always belong to different teams.
- Some roles can never be in love due to their nature.
- If a mafia (or Horsemen in Secret Gamemode) is in love, they will not have access to their group chat nor player information. For example, if player 1, 2, 3 and 4 are mafia, and player 3 and 9 are lovers, player 1, 2 and 4 will not see player 3 as one of their teammates. The same goes for player 3.
- Roles that leave the town in victory will stay even after completing their goal.
- Every three nights, the lovers are able to vote to use their wrath on a player.
- Wrath will blackmail the player, and they will only die the next day.
- Lovers do not have invisibility anymore. Anyone can visit them at any time.
- Once the lover's Cupid dies, the lover's are enraged, and will kill any visitors to their regular targets.
- Once the lovers die, the Cupid is able to kill every night.
- Cupid will now hold the game until they die, however lovers will not hold the game.
- If one of the lover is revived, their partner is revived as well.
- If a couple cannot be formed, you will automatically turn into a Jester.
- Magician has came back, but at what cost?
- Magician has been completely reworked, but still plays around the 'swapping' element.
- Each night, the Magician can choose to swap 2 players.
- When you swap players, anyone visiting the first player will target the second, and vice versa. (Example: Magician swaps player A and player B. If player C visits player A, the bot will still tell player C they visited player A, but they will actually visit player B)
- Only the swapped players will know that they were swapped with another player, but do not know with whom.
- As a result, your swap effects every role, including Oracle, Gambler and Famine. However, Jester and Executioner's torment or haunt target will not respect swapped players.
- Your win condition is to see the town lose.
Role Changes:
- 16 roles had changes in this patch, some might be small, some might be big. You decide!
- Oracle - Additionally, once a game, you may Sense a role, by selecting the same role you did the previous Night. Instead of making a role invisible, you instead get to know how many players (both Dead and Alive) currently have that role in the game.
- Vigilante - When shooting an innocent town member, your role icon will appear next to your name if you ever get revived. Additionally, as a Town Traitor or coupled Vigilante, shooting a Town member will not kill you, however you will lose your remaining bullets.
- Judge - When prosecuting an innocent town member, your role icon will appear next to your name if you ever get revived. Additionally, as a Town Traitor or coupled Judge, prosecuting a Town member will not kill you, however you will lose your remaining charges.
- Guardian - You now have 2 lives. Each time you protect someone or yourself from an attack, you lose a life. If you are left with 1 life, and get attacked while protecting yourself, your life count does not decrease. You will die once you have 0 lives left.
- Lawyer - After a successful acquittal, the town has another chance to vote. This time, if someone gets voted up, they are immediately guiltied by everyone. Additionally, as a Town Traitor Lawyer, acquitting a Mafia aligned player will not reveal your role and the acquitted player's role, but you will lose your remaining charges. As a coupled Laywer, the same effect only happens if you save your lover.
- Farmer - You automatically transform to Famine, Horseman of the Apocalypse if the amount of players that you need to give plant to transform are less than 3.
- Famine - When changing someone's role, you can only choose a Neutral role for them to transform. The 8th ability has also changed to set the vote requirement to be 0 for one day.
- Baker - With the Necronomicon, upon completing your goal, anyone that has bread will die of poison.
- Grave Robber - You no longer receive a soul every day. Instead the requirement to transform to Death, Horseman of the Apocalypse has been halved.
- Plague Doctor - With the Necronomicon, you no longer see how your plagues are infected. Instead, your plagues are spread on the same day, allowing you to transform into Conquest, Horseman of the Apocalypse faster.
- Starspawn - Selecting the same player you did the previous night will now reveal that player's role to you. However, that player will not be Invisible.
- Thief - Additionally, twice a game, you may use your absorb ability. If the player you steal from has limited charges as well as having a night action, the following night, you are able to control their actions.
- Bomber - With the Necronomicon, when choosing to detonate your bombs, you will also kill anyone who visits you (and has an Active visit type).
- Manipulator - You now have 2 usages. When you manipulate votes, if anyone is voted up during this period, everyone will automatically vote guilty on that player.
- Silencer - With the Necronomicon, the 'silence' effect will last forever on the player, hiding their role and will anytime they are killed.
- Necromancer - Additionally, once a game, you may revive a player of your choice. You must be alive until the end of the following day, and that player will be revived right before night starts. You also have more roles you can use, see below.
- Ritualist - Using Ritualist on a player that has been revealed to you will kill them, otherwise the dead Ritualist's role is revealed to everyone.
- Alchemist - You will always use a Lethal Potion on the player you choose.
- Magician - You will swap yourself with the player you choose.
- PI - You will compare yourself with the player you choose.
- Link - You will link yourself with the player you choose.
- Duskweaver - You will always use your dawn ability, and only allow Mafia-aligned players to do their actions.
New:
- Added 2 new shop items!
- 🧴 Sunscreen - Buying this item will reduce your chances of dying to Scorching Sun to 50%. This is a 1 time use.
- ☔ Umbrella - This item will reduce your chances of getting your role revealed by Acid Rain to 50%. This is a 1 time use.
- Added 2 new settings!
- Anomaly item usage - This setting will allow for items that alter how an anomaly works, to be used.
- Allow dead players to communicate in group chat - Name is self explanitory. Only works if bot DMs are used as a group chat.
- Added new icon for Necronomicon and Town VIP.
- Added new image option for You Died background.
Improvements:
- /config immunity has been changed to /config immunity set to make way for new settings regarding immunity.
- You can now set what roles will respect players with immunity using /config immunity roles and using the dropdown the bot sends.
- You can now set how long are players immune using /config immunity night and set a night count between 0 to 3.
- Town VIP and Town Traitor icons will now show the smaller version on the top right of the embed.
- The Necronomicon icon now shows for players that have roles with Necronomicon enabled in DMs.
- Dead players in a group chat will no longer have their whole messages with a strikethrough effect. Only the name will have it to indicate they are dead.
- After so, so, so long, you can finally unban players that were banned from the game using the /config punishment unban command.
- Secret gamemode has been updated to be more impactful. What are the changes? You have to see and find out lol.
- The bot DM's now will link you back to the Mafia channel once night has ended.
Bug Fixes:
- War will not show undefined when Plague Doctor sees them spreading plague.
- Spectate setting will now correctly show what the current status is.
- Fixed a few typos in the bot.
- Guardian guard icon will now probably display in game logs and everywhere else.
- Conquest can no longer be mimicked by a Mimic.
- Mafia that visits Baiter will no longer die if Godfather has an actual target.
- Gambler's selection will now be shown in the game logs.
- Famine's additional selection will be shown in the game logs.
- Thief is able to steal abilities from Manager now.
- Profile stats will now only show the base role for Horsemen.
Hotfix #1
- Fixed Starspawn causing the game to crash when not using ability.
- Fixed Thief causing the game to crash when not using ability.
- Fixed certain select menu not being displayed or opened for use.
- Fixed dead player's name appearing twice in group chats.
- Fixed help page mentioning old abilities of Famine.
